Small Unmanned Aerial Systems for Emergency Managers

This online course was co-developed by the Florida State University and Texas A&M University members of the Center for Robot-Assisted Search and Rescue and distills lessons learned since 2005 in deploying SUAS to actual disasters including Hurricane Katrina, Fukushima Daiichi, and especially recent work with Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management at Hurricane Harvey.

It is intended as a class for emergency responders and emergency management professionals, as well as unmanned systems developers, who are making strategic decisions about the use of unmanned systems (ground, aerial, and marine). It is not a class on how to fly SUAS and does not require any familiarity with SUAS or other types of robots.
